Now that the scorching heat is gone, it is time to go outdoors and admire the beautiful autumn leaves! And here we present to you the ultimate autumn foliage shuttle bus packages.

With this free & easy round-trip transportation shuttle package, you can enjoy one of four different mountains in the east and west of Korea: Buddhist temple with a 1,100 years old ginkgo tree- Yongmunsa Temple, scenic trails with foliage tunnel- Naejangsan National Park, and rocky mountains with 50-meter long suspension bridge- Daedunsan mountain. The peak season for fall foliage differs depending on the mountains, so check your schedule and join the tour to see those brilliant colors! Although there is no English-speaking staff/guide for this package, this will do if you are looking for an easy way to enjoy the foliage.

1) Seoraksan National Park - Ulsanbawi (울산바위)
October 15 ~ November 6 (Weekends Only)

Seoraksan National Park is without a doubt on the top list on Koreans' minds when it comes to fall foliage. Ulsanbawi course is one of the most popular trekking routes in Seoraksan National Park. Most of the trails on this route are intermediate level but they get more challenging as you get closer to Ulsanbawi Rock since the trails heading to Ulsanbawi Rock from Heundeulbawi are steep and have many stairs. However, the magnificent view of the eastern coastline and Sokcho City from Gwongeumseong Fortress will make all the hiking worthwhile.

Route A) Sogongwon (소공원) - Cable Car - Sinheungsa Temple (신흥사) - Naewonam Buddhist Hermitage (내원암) - Heundeulbawi (흔들바위) - Ulsanbawi Rock (울산바위, an altitude of 873m)
- One way: 3.8km (About 2 hours)
- Trail level: Intermediate to advanced

Route B) Sogongwon (소공원) - Cable Car to Gwongeumseong Fortress (권금성)
- One way:1.5km (About 30 minutes by cable car)

2) Seoraksan National Park - Baekdamsa Temple (백담사)

If you prefer more moderate treks, the Baekdamsa Temple course is recommended. Baekdamsa Temple is Seoraksan’s most visited and well-known temple which lures numerous visitors every year. With beautiful scenery and relatively moderate hiking trails, this course is very popular with many hikers. You will love the mountain covered in gorgeous shades of red, orange and yellow.

- One way (From Baekdamsa Temple to Yeongsiam Buddhist Hermitage): 3.5km (About 1.5 hours)
- Trail level: Moderate to intermediate

Route B) Baekdam Parking Lot (백담 주차장) - Baekdamsa Temple (백담사) - Yeongsiam Buddhist Hermitage (영시암)
- One way: 10.6km (About 3 hours)
- Trail level: Moderate to intermediate
*Visitors are advised to take the bus from Baekdam Parking Lot to Baekdamsa Temple, as some parts of the road only have sidewalks instead of pedestrian zones, thus it may not be safe.
The bus fare: 2,300 won (one-way)

3) Yongmunsa Temple
October 15 ~ November 6 (Weekends Only)

Located in Yongmunsan mountain in Gyeonggi-do, not too far from Seoul, Yongmunsa Temple is a great option if you would like to enjoy a serene view of the beautiful Korean Buddhist temple with colorful autumn leaves. Th temple especially is famous for its gigantic ginkgo tree, believed to be 1,100 years old, that stands on the grounds of the temple. Take a day trip to Yongmunsa Temple and have a look at those golden ginkgo leaves.

4) Naejangsan National Park - Naejangsa Temple (내장사)
October 29 ~ November 13 (Weekends Only)

On this side of Naejangsan National Park (763m), you can take a cable car to reach one of the peaks, Yeonjabong. When you get off the cable car, walk about 300m and then you will get to the Yeonjabong Peak’s observatory and enjoy the great view. If you’d rather hike, the trekking trails are great, too.

*It is about an hour's walk (2.3km) from Naejang Park Information Center (내장 탐방지원센터) to Naejangsan Visitor Center (내장산 탐방 안내소). There is also a shuttle bus (1,000 KRW per adult) which takes about 25 minutes.

5) Naejangsan National Park - Baegyangsa Temple (백양사)

Baegyangsa Temple at Naejangsan National Park is situated in one of the most scenic and beautiful locations in Korea. As you walk along the way to the temple, you can enjoy the perfect fall foliage with crimson maple leaves everywhere. If you are willing to hike advanced level trek for a stunning landscape, try to visit Baekhakbong Peak (651m)!

6) Daedunsan Mountain
October 22 ~ November 13 (Weekends Only)

Daedunsan mountain (878m) is known for its extremely steep and rocky landscapes. It resembles Seoraksan on a smaller scale, but its famous 50-meter long red suspension bridge over a ravine makes the park special. If you want to enjoy the autumn leaves and also add a bit of excitement to your trip, this course is highly recommended.
