We had a great time going through the market and learning how to cook some yummy dishes. Juno was a great guide through the market and got us to try different things we probably wouldn’t have if we were on our own. Would recommend to others and will be recreating the dishes at home.

Junho really helped us make the most of the market tour and cooking experience. I had been looking forward to this activity since the beginning of this year and the tour was everything I expected, if not more! This is one of my favourite things I have done during my time in Korea, and would highly recommend it for anyone visiting Busan who loves food. I am travelling on my own so it was nice to join a couple of other tourists and Junho as we explored the markets, cooked and ate together. Junho is a really engaging host and gave all of us recommendations based on our personal interests of things to see and eat in Busan. He is also super patient if you aren't a super skilled cook so don't worry about that! He will happy to change the menus if you have specific dietary needs or things you want to try out too. Everything we made was super delicious, I'm looking forward to making them again for my family. ^^ The tour ends at the Gamcheon Culture Village entryway which is super convenient, whimsical and a great way to walk off some of the food you just gorged yourself on.

The class was really good and I would highly recommend those that love Korean food. The best thing about the activity, was the instructor Junho, who was Excellent! Very accommodating to what we wanted to cook, was a great tour guide in the markets, and went above and beyond the necessities of the average cooking host. Depending on the recipes, some are very simple, and fun to make. The fried chicken with sweet and spicy sauce, and stir fried octopus were my favorites. If ever in Busan again, would probably do this again with different courses. Thanks again Junho! We all had a great time! TIP: If you are interested in this class, try to do this when you first get into Busan, because after we met Junho, and did the market tour, we didn't have enough time to visit all the places he recommended to go eat. We did wander a bit our first few days there, and found random good eats though, but would've been awesome if we were able to go to some of Junho's recommended places to eat.

He explained a lot of interesting facts during our trips through Jagalchi and the other markets, and helped us buy drinks and seasonal fruits. Then he drove us to the cooking school where he explained the veges in each dish and how he wanted them chopped up. Our cooking class was amazing, we had the most wonderful time going to the market and learning how to cook a lot of Korean delicious dishes. Junho was a lovely and very friendly host and his studio had the most amazing views. We would definitely recommend it!

Me and my friend went to a friday morning class. Upon arrival at the Jaggalchi market, we were greeted by the organiser and went on a pleasant tour around the market. This is the perfect opportunity for foreigners who want to experience the korean culture and learn about its history. After gathering all ingredients, we headed to the studio and started cooking. All dishes were traditional. Everything was easy to follow and delicious. The coordinator was very nice and made the activity much more fun. I recomend it to everone who wants to have an amazing day and learn about the korean gastronomy.

Menu Details
- Samgyetang: soup consisting of a young chicken stuffed with rice, ginseng, garlic, and herbs
- Japchae: sweet potato starch noodles, stir-fried with vegetable and meat
- Beef bulgogi: sweet & savory marinated slices of beef, grilled on a griddle or a pan


- Doenjang-jjigae: rich stew with fermented soybean paste, tofu, vegetables, meat or seafood
- Osam-bulgogi: spicy marinated squid and pork belly, grilled with vegetables
- Suyuk: steamed & sliced pork dish usually paired with kimchi or vegetables


- Dak-bokkeum-tang: stir-fried & boiled spicy chicken with vegetables
- Bibimbap: a bowl of warm rice topped with seasoned vegetables, a fried egg, and chili paste
- Oi naeng gook: cold vinegar base soup made from cucumbers
- Kimchi-jjigae: spicy stew with kimchi, diced tofu, vegetables, pork or seafood


- Sundubu-jjigae: spicy stew with uncurdled tofu, eggs, chili paste & powder
- Haemul pajeon: savory pan-fried battered pancake with seafood and scallion
- Dubu kimchi: blanched tofu served with stir-fried, well-fermented tangy kimchi
- Tteok-bokki: spicy stir-fried rice cakes with fish cakes, vegetables, and boiled eggs
- Gimbap: rice, chopped vegetables, egg, and ham rolled in a seaweed sheet, served in slices
- Sujaebi: boil-cooked flour dumplings served in hot seafood broth/soup
- Miyeok gook: fresh seaweed boiled into a hot soup in beef/seafood broth base
