For anyone who loves the outdoors or simply getting some fresh air!
I had an extra day off work because of Memorial Day, and decided to spend it on my first venture over to Suncheon. Though it ended up being a solo tour, it was still a lovely trip thanks to my guide Victoria (and our driver Gloria)! They were both very kind and gave me the perfect balance of having guided time for conversation and questions, and solo time to venture out on my own and explore.
And there truly was MUCH to explore. The Garden EXPO started earlier in the year and yet it was still bursting with people all around! The 'exhibit' area is also much larger than I anticipated, so it was easy to spend a few hours trying to get to as many sights as I could. Between the flowers fixtures, gardens to represent different countries, and the floating installations, there's no shortage of things to peak your interest as you stroll around. Just make sure you drink plenty of water and stop by one of the plentiful food spots to get more energy!
The Wetland portion of the tour was a refreshing end to my Suncheon trip. You could easily spend a couple of hours just walking amidst the high grasses in search of crabs and mudskippers fish. There're also observatories, a huge family-sized seesaw, an experience center, and a darling souvenir shop for you to visit as well.
It truly was a day well spent taking this tour, and it's helped make Suncheon a much more inviting place for future visits to come. ^^
