The studio was beautiful and smelled absolutely lovely. I had a fun time picking out the scents and making these tablets, two of which I will give as gifts (and then keep the prettiest one to myself lol). I wish the teacher had given more instruction on flower design. However, I was completely satisfied with the results.

The workshop was interesting and I have enjoyed myself very much! There were many fragrances for you to choose from (choose 3). When you're done decorating the tablet with dried flowers, they will be put in a special box which you will fold yourself! I would highly recommend this activity if you're travelling in Seoul!

We really enjoyed the Fragrant Flower Wax Tablet workshop at Joy Academy! It was slightly over 2 hours and we made 3 tablets with 1 wooden frame. You will learn about the different type of wax, history of Hanji, how to coat a wooden frame with eco friendly stain and get in touch with the various scents and fragrances. I used Heavenly Peach, English Pear & Freesia and Herpedes (grapefruit)! You will also get to fold individual boxes for each tablet. We attended the workshop with 2 other foreigners and had a good time together. I would highly recommend this workshop to travellers of all ages (I brought my mum along!)

As you enter the wax tablet workshop in Seoul, 20 different fragrances including unique Korean scents (bamboo and Jeju citrus tea) will surround you. Under the theme of beauty, creativity, and network, the workshop lets you create your own fragrant pieces. Arrange dry flowers on the tablets and pick your favorite scents! You can put the tablet in a wooden frame made of traditional Korean paper, or put it into a nice package for a special present.
