Checklist for booking

Make sure to book with the exact full name on your passport.
If you have used a SIM card in Korea before, please give us the IMEI information of your phone in the required information field. You can find the IMEI information of your phone by pressing *#06# on the dial screen from your phone.
Please make sure to unlock your smartphone through your cellphone carrier before coming to Korea, especially if you are from the United States, Canada or Japan. If your smartphone is locked, you CANNOT use this SIM card.
You must bring your original passport and credit card to pick up the device.
*Photocopies or scans of passports will not be permitted.
If you are Korean, you have to be over 18 years old to buy the SIM card. Please also note that Korean nationals cannot activate the SIM card with a passport. You need to present your Korean resident ID card or driving license to activate the SIM card.

Please keep in mind

Upon collecting a SIM card, you'll be provided with a manual with information on registration, top-up, and the customer service center. Please read the manual carefully and keep it with you just in case.
Please test your SIM card immediately before leaving the pick-up location. If your eSIM does not work, please inquire with the staff at the KT Roaming Center.
Please activate your SIM card within 90 days of receiving it. Unused SIMs after 90 days will be automatically terminated and cannot be refunded.
This SIM cannot be used for identity verification (e.g., Naver authentication, online banking authentication).
Unused credits cannot be refunded.
Each person can purchase 1 SIM card.
Phones that do not support KT LTE frequencies can be used as 3G. Returns and refunds are not available in this case.
If you are using a device from Japan, the United States, or Canada, make sure to apply for SIM unlocking through your carrier.

Does this SIM come with a Korean local 010 phone number?

Yes, both SIMs come with a Korean local 010 phone number. However, the data only SIM card comes with no credit, and can only receive incoming calls/texts if you do not charge your credit.

Can I extend the SIM card for a long period?

Yes, this SIM card can be extended for up to 90 days in total. You will receive a handout on how to extend your SIM card upon pickup.

What if the SIM doesn't work on my phone?

The universal type SIM card is compatible with phones using standard, micro, and nano SIM cards. Check with your phone carrier to make sure the SIM card is compatible with your device.

Please try the SIM card before you leave the pick-up location. The staff on site can assist you with installation and troubleshooting any issues.
