Village Options

Option 1) Yangpyeong Soomy Village: $20 USD

Only a 1.5 hour drive from Seoul, Yangpyeong Soomy Village in Gyeonggi Province is one of the most well-known agricultural villages where you can experience Korean rural life. During this tour, you will participate in exciting activities such as catfish fishing and wooden rafting that you can only enjoy here at Yangpyeong Soomy Village. You will also have a chance to visit Yongmunsa Temple, a 1000-year-old Buddhist temple, on the way back to Seoul.

Option 2) Icheon Museum of Pigs: $6.40 USD

Take a visit to one of the most unique and fun museums in Korea. During the tour, you will visit Pig Museum which exhibits about 5,000 pig related articles from different countries and enjoy pig performance. After lunch, the tour will take you to the beautiful Seolbong Lake.

Option 3) Pyeongchang Eoreumchi Village: $20 USD

Located in the mountainous region of Gangwon Province, in the eastern part of Korea, Pyeongchang Eoreumchi Village offers one of the most spectacular sceneries with various outdoor activities including rafting, ziplining and bungee jumping. This tour is especially recommended for those who love exciting outdoor adventures in the scenic nature.

Option 4) Asan Oeam Folk Village: $20.90 USD

Located in Chungcheong Province, Oeam Folk Village is a historic clan village boasting more than 80 Giwa (Korean traditional roof tile) houses that are more than 400 years old. While taking a walk along the stone walls, you can take a glimpse at the way people lived hundreds of years ago around this area. After lunch, you will visit Blue Crystal Village, a rising tourist attraction in Korea where you can enjoy the atmosphere of Santorini of Greece and the Provence region of France.

Option 5) Yeongdong Geumgang Mochi Village: $15.90 USD

Yeongdong Geumgang Mochi Village is a small but beautiful village near Geumgang River located in Chungcheongbuk-do, Korea, where you can experience Korean rural life. You will get to try Hanji (Korean traditional paper) craft making, harvesting sweet potatoes and riding an actual tractor used on the farms. You can also participate in Korean traditional archery experience.

Then, the tour will visit Yeongguksa Temple where a 1,000 year old legendary ginkgo tree stands. The tree is 31m in height and 11m in circumference at chest height. According to the legend, the tree is known to cry out loud during times of national crises.

Option 6) Cheongyang Alps Village: $11.80 USD

Located in Chungcheongnam-do of Korea’s southwestern coast, Cheongyang Alps Village is a small rural village with a beautiful serene view of Cheonjang lake and Chilgapsan Mountain. The village is located just under the top of Chilgapsan Mountain, locally known as the Alps of Chungcheongnam-do. Here, you can experience making crafts and facial mist using their famous gourds.

After lunch, the tour will take you to the beautiful Cheonjang Lake where you will get to walk on a long suspension footbridge, the longest suspension bridge in Korea, hanging over the waters and visit Janggoksa, a Buddhist temple where you can see two of the National Treasures of Korea.
