Push your limits at the 2026 International Swimming Race at Hangang Park!

Take on a 1 km open-water challenge across the Hangang River. Race from Jamsil Taxi Dock (South) to the North side and test your endurance in one of Seoul's most iconic settings. Whether you power through with fins or go barefoot, this is your chance to compete, challenge yourself, and cross the finish line with pride.

  • Only 1 ticket can be purchased per person.
  • Participants must be at least 10 years old (born before December 31, 2016).
  • A wetsuit is mandatory to participate in this event. If you do not have one, please select the wetsuit option when booking.
  • This event is part of the My Pace Hangang Triathlon Festival and is operated as a separate program. Participants who wish to join the full triathlon must purchase a triathlon ticket.
  • Tickets are non-transferable. If you are caught reselling tickets, your reservation will be canceled and legal action may be taken.
  • Photo ID (passport or ARC) will be checked upon check-in.
  • Minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian. A consent form signed by a legal guardian is required (for participants born after June 5, 2007). Participation will not be allowed without the consent form. Please download the consent form here.
  • All participants must complete a participation consent form before the event. The form will be provided at the on-site booth.
  • The operating schedule may change depending on conditions. Please provide an email address where you can be easily reached.
  • Luggage storage is not available. Please avoid bringing large bags or suitcases.
  • Wearing a wetsuit, swim cap, and goggles is mandatory. Participation may be restricted if you are not properly equipped.
  • Safety buoys and life jackets are permitted but must be brought individually.
  • If you selected the fins category, please bring your own fins. You will be automatically assigned to the barefoot category if you do not have your fins on the day of the event.

The event will proceed as scheduled in light rain. In case of severe rain, operations will be adjusted as follows:
  • Rainfall under 5 mm/hour or 20 mm/day: Event proceeds as normal
  • Rainfall between 5-10 mm/hour or 20-50 mm/day: Hangang swimming will be canceled; cycling and running may be temporarily paused depending on conditions
  • Rainfall exceeding 10 mm/hour or 50 mm/day: Event cancellation will be determined by the organizers, and a full refund will be issued

[About the swimming course]
  • Please complete registration by 1:30pm.
  • The race will proceed in the following order:
    • Men (Fins) → Men (Barefoot) → Women (Fins) → Women (Barefoot)
  • A safety briefing and stretching session will be conducted before the swim.
  • Towels will not be provided after swimming, so please bring your own if needed.
  • After the race, official Seoul Metropolitan Government plaques will be awarded to the top five finishers in each category.

After May 27, 5:00pm KST: Non-refundable
