Set in a beautifully styled pungnyubang (a traditional room for music and gatherings), you’ll sit close to the performers, enjoy an intimate performance, and even share conversation with the artists.

[Part 1] Gilje (Opening Blessing Ceremony)
  • A traditional Korean rite performed before important events to wish for good fortune.
  • We begin each performance with this symbolic ritual, offering peace, well-being, and happiness to all.

[Part 2] Jinyeon (The Banquet Performance)
  • A musical offering for honored guests, featuring classical repertoire handed down for generations.
  • Jeongak (“Right Music”): Formal and refined court music once performed in the royal court and upper class society during the Joseon Dynasty.
  • Sanjo (“Scattered Melodies”): Expressive solo instrumental music reflecting the spirit and individuality of Korean scholars and artists.

[Part 3] Together in Harmony
  • An interactive segment where guests and artists share music and joy together
  • Minyo (Folk Songs): Songs of the common people, orally passed down since the Goryeo period (10th–13th century).
  • Popular Music: Jijidaeak presents folk songs from around the world and contemporary Korean music in their own unique style.

  1. Entry will not be permitted once the performance has begun. Re-entry is not allowed if you leave during the show.
  2. Photography and video recording are welcome; however, please set your device to silent mode.
  3. Food and drinks are not allowed inside the venue.
  4. Please note that the theater is located on the second floor with no elevator.

You will get to experience a rich variety of traditional Korean performing arts, from royal court music performed through traditional instruments to folk songs.
