My daughters loved Aqua planet. The displays were clean and exhibits were beautiful. We particularly enjoyed the shows in the Ocean Arena (even if we didn't understand Korean)

It Washington raisins that Day in Jeju so we chose to go to thé aquarium. There was a lot of People so even if we left early for the ocean arena show we didn’t manage to get front row seats. The show was very great and the aquarium very big

This is great place to visit! I had a lot of fun here! Not only was the aquarium really interesting, the building is located right next to the sea so there was an amazing view outside!

We are Americans. Entrance with this app was easy. Scan the code and go. The staff understood some english, but this is about the fish right? They have a huge selction of aquatic life. We actually saw a shark (i believe it was a bull shark) eat some fish and the sea turtle helped clean up. You really could just spend the entire day there and just watch the animals. We saw dolphins, walrus, seals, penguins and so much more. Aqua planet has a food court, gift shop, and a convience store. If i can edit this review later and add some more this is all i took on my phone. My actual canon camera has a lot more! These are the dolphins, we counted four of them

Water and Breath: The Sea of Jeju Haenyeo
This exhibition offers a glimpse into the world of Jeju’s haenyeo through the works of various artists, including haenyeo themselves. It is a space where visitors can experience their stories, moving between water and breath, sharing in the ocean’s rhythm.

Inspired by the grace and resilience of haenyeo, this picture book reimagines them as ballerinas of the sea. Russian-born artist Nika Tchaikovskaya saw a parallel between the way haenyeo dive — transforming hardship into beauty — and the artistry of ballet. Through warm and enchanting illustrations, the story captures the bravery and elegance of "Haenyo-rina."

Isoo Jeon’s art reflects a deep love for family, the sea, and life itself — much like the hearts of the haenyeo. Through her paintings and stories of love, friendship, dreams, and nature, she reminds us of what is truly precious.

Yoojung Lee, a haenyeo artist, paints the sea she grew up with and the haenyeo who shaped her world. Her work pays tribute to the legendary skills of the haenyeo aunts ("samchun" in Jeju dialect) and reflects on the pressing issue of ocean pollution, which she experiences firsthand.

Filmmaker Heeyoung Koh and Spanish artist Eva Armisen came together through a shared fascination with haenyeo, creating a picture book that brings their world to life. Koh, deeply immersed in haenyeo stories, wanted to share the secret world beneath the waves, while Armisen was captivated by their strength and grace.

Kei Na became a haenyeo by chance, but through it, she truly came to understand the sea. For haenyeo, the tewak — a floating buoy — is their only refuge in the vast ocean. In her work Floating Island, the artist explores this personal sanctuary, where she finds peace and a sense of self.

From game designer to photographer to haenyeo, Young Ye You’s journey has been shaped by the sea and the wisdom of the haenyeo grandmothers of Gapado. A chance encounter with a haenyeo elder and her words — "As you live, life finds its way" — became a turning point, anchoring her to the ocean.

Yes, Aqua Planet Jeju is open on weekends. Opening hours for both weekdays and weekends are from 9:30am to 6:00pm. The ticket office closes at 5:00pm, and the last admission is at 5:30pm.
Are child tickets available for Aqua Planet Jeju?
Unfortunately, child tickets are not available for purchase on Trazy. However, the tickets offered on Trazy are cheaper for both adults and children compared to on-site prices. Children under 3 years old can enter Aqua Planet Jeju free of charge with valid proof of age.

How to get to Aqua Planet Jeju from Jeju Airport?
By public bus
1. Walk (~15 min) from the airport terminal to the nearby bus stop serving Pyoseon/Seongsan/Namwon.
2. Take Express Bus 110 or 110-1 (toward Beonyeong-ro) and ride for about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
3. Get off at Seongsan Transfer Stop, then walk about 3 minutes to Goseong-ri Seongsan Nonghyup.
4. Transfer to Eup/Myeon Bus 721-1 or 721-2 and ride for about 10 minutes.
5. Get off at Seopjikoji Bus Stop and walk a short distance to Aqua Planet.
The entire journey takes approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes from Jeju Airport.
