John was an amazing guide and would reccomend his tour experience for anyone who wants to experience the climbing in Korea. He is very experienced in Trad climbing and knowledgeable about the local climbing scene in Korea. Right from the first meeting he was super friendly and didn't make any dull moments during the session. 5/5 for making a korean climbing trip I won't forget.

A couple friends and I booked the full day (advanced route) hiking & climbing experience and it was easily the most exciting, thrilling, and memorable experience we had in Seoul. John is a fantastic guide who was very accommodating to my group's skill level and is a pleasure to talk to. Most importantly, he cut no corners when it came to safety as he thoroughly taught us how to use all of our gear and his simple and effective call-out system. No one in my group had any experience in outdoor climbing prior to this. The day consisted of an initial 1-hour hike to the beginning of the climbing route, followed by a mix of 8 to 10 easy-moderate level climbing routes and short hikes in between. Since there were five people in our group, including John, we had a lot of time in between climbs to catch our breath, have some water and snacks, and take in the awesome sights of Seoul and surrounding landscapes. Despite everyone in our group being physically fit and exercising regularly, we were all physically exhausted by the end of the day. We started the day at around 10AM and parted ways around 7PM (mostly due to our larger group size), so be sure to plan accordingly. John provided all the necessary climbing gear (i.e. climbing shoes, helmets, ropes, harnesses, and other trad gear) while we brought our own hiking shoes, water, snacks, and backpacks (with chest and waist straps). I would recommend bringing your own climbing shoes if you have any. Most of the climbs began with John climbing first and placing safety gear (slings, carabiners, quickdraws, etc.) on the route while one of my friends acted as his belayer. Once he got to the end of the route, John would anchor himself and take over the responsibility of belaying the rest of the group. The last person to climb in our group had the responsibility of retrieving the gear John had initially set. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to explore Bukhansan in a more interesting and unique way!

Had an awesome day climbing with John! He replied quickly messages and was very communicative. Super knowledgeable and friendly. He really knew the area well and tailored a day suited my ability/interests. I always felt safe and in good hands. If you're looking for a fun day climbing in Seoul for sure hit up John!

WE LOVED IT John knows his equipment and routes really well, so he was able to gauge our progress up Insubong mountain. We’re glad that John was flexible with his timing for us cause we weren’t the most fit that we could be 😅

Security rules are well respected He bring us to the perfect spot with good climbing routes and beautiful view. We had a perfect day , we really recommend John whose is the perfect guide ! I had a great teacher that explained seemingly advanced things in an easy-to-understand way and made me feel comfortable from beginning to end. Expect to get a little beaten up and scratched but that's adventure, right? It was a small price to pay for a memorable experience. I would do it again for sure. Thank you, John!

It was a very great experience! The host was great. We were absolute beginners but he made us feel very comfortable. The mountain was challenging, but it was definitely rewarding to reach the top!

John was personable, outgoing, and above all else, a safety conscious guide. The hiking is steep and rocky, but very fun. I was not used to this kind of hiking, but it was very challenging, in a good way. The climbing itself was awesome, and perfect for a beginner/intermediate climber such as myself. The views of Seoul and Bukhansan park were outstanding. Highly recommended for bold, intrepid and fun loving people!
