The DMZ is a heavily guarded buffer zone that separates North and South Korea, standing as a powerful symbol of the country's division. Despite its tense history, the area is home to significant landmarks such as The 3rd Tunnel and the Dora Observatory, offering insight into the Korean War and ongoing conflicts.

Discovered in 1978, the 3rd Tunnel is one of several secret passages dug by North Korea to infiltrate the South. Located just 52 km from Seoul, the tunnel stretches over 1.6 km and could have accommodated thousands of soldiers for a surprise attack. Today, visitors can walk a portion of the tunnel and witness firsthand the tensions that still linger between the two Koreas.
