The facts

Located at the corner of Seoul's busiest downtown intersection, Deoksugung Palace is famous for its beautiful stonewall road (Jeongdonggil-Road 정동길). It is also known as the only palace with a few western style buildings inside.

I went here with my son to watch the Changing of the Royal Guards and what good in here is you can try to wear a Hanbok for free (5 -10 minutes, depends on the number of people who wanted to try hanbok). We had a peaceful walk inside and there are only few guests inside unlike the other palaces. I enjoyed the place where I am able to took a photo shoot of my korean doll.

As this palace located not far from Seoul Plaza hotel where I had event, I walked there during Autumn day alone and it was really a peaceful walks. Unlike Gyeongbokgung that swarm with too many tourists, I find myself can really enjoy every palace building and sit at one of the porch for quite sometime. The Palace guard was so nice also let me took picture together with him.

my first and most visited palace in Seoul.. whenever i visit this palace i always enjoy watching the changing of guards ceremony. the palace is smaller than gyeongbokgung but there are many hidden gems in here. best time to visit is during autumn and enjoy strolling around the Deoksugung Doldam-gil.. ^^
