Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul

▲ Gyeongbokgung Palace
Gyeongbokgung Palace is a palace built by the King Taejo, the founder of the last kingdom of Korea, Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910). The original building was destroyed by the Japanese during the war in 1592, being reconstructed in 1868. Gwanghwamun is the Southern main gate of the Gyeongbokgung Palace’s 4 gates.

Changdeokgung Palace in Seoul

▲ Changdeokgung Palace
Changdeokgung Palace is known as the best preserved palace of the Joseon Dynasty’s five palaces. It has been nominated as the World Heritage by UNESCO. Originally an auxiliary palace, it eventually became the main palace as King’s residential compound since the Songjong (1470-1494) period.

National Folk Musuem in Gyeongbokgung Palace

▲ National Folk Museum
The National Folk Museum is located on the compound of Gyeongbokgung Palace, demonstrating the retrospective of the traditional Korean lifestyle. It exhibits lives of both the ordinary people and aristocrats in different parts of Korea in the history, including traditional agricultural methods, hunting, weaving, cooking, and other housekeeping chores.

Bustling stalls at Namdaemun Market

▲ Namdaemun Market
Namdaemun Market is the largest street market in Seoul. Especially popular for shoppers looking for bargains, this historical marketplace is well-reputed for its cheap price and wide variety of products. As it is located conveniently at the heart of Seoul city, shoppers can enjoy easy access to different tourist spots and transportation.
