First opened in 1941, Oak Cheon Oak is one of the top 10 oldest restaurants in Seoul. Located in the dongdaemun area, upper east of Seoul, this restaurant mainly serves 'seollongtang' (Korean broth soup made from ox bones, brisket and other cuts). Oak Cheon Oak's seollongtang is especially known for its rich and thick soup, which may smell or taste odd for those who try for the first time. You usually eat seollongtang with fresh Kimchi. It's also known for having former President Lee Myung Bak (17th president of Korea) to have visited.
