Gana Art Center first opend in 1983 in Insa-dong and later moved to Pyeongchang-dong in 1998. As the name suggests, Gana Art Center is a complex cultural spot; It not only exhibits art pieces but also holds performances and experimental movies. The building was designed by world famous architect Jean Michel Wilmotte who has also designed the interior of Louvre museum and the street of Champs Elysees in Paris. It's simple, modern and beautiful. It was chosen as the millennium building in 2000 by Tasche. Gana Art Center mainly exhibits various types of contemporary art of Korean artists. It also holds multiple exhibitions at once.
