Reservamos una SIM física (destroquelable en todos los tipos que existen) para 20 días, con número local coreano y datos ilimitados, que incluía 10 minutos de llamadas locales (si las activabas a través de un enlace). Nos ha funcionado muy bien, no hemos tenido ningún problema y la velocidad de internet proporcionada es más que suficiente. El sitio de recogida en el aeropuerto de Incheon es muy fácil de encontrar y la chica que nos atendió fue muy amable. ¡Además, nos regalaron la T-money (tarjeta de transporte) y dos botes de fideos instantáneos! ¡Repetiremos seguro en nuestro próximo viaje!

You pick up the sim card after quarantine checkpoints so you can’t give officials your new phone number right away. It was easy to find the desk and took maybe 5 minutes.

  • This eSIM is exclusively for short-term travelers staying up to 90 days. Travelers staying over 91 days may face service restrictions, including suspension of the eSIM without prior notice. Refunds will not be issued for suspensions resulting from policy violations.
  • The universal type SIM is compatible with phones using standard, micro and nano SIM.
  • MVoIP calls via Facetime, Skype, LINE, Kakao, Whatsapp or Messenger are supported only withing the 1GB data at 4G/LTE speeds.
  • You can share the internet connection with other devices via tethering.
  • The SIM card will be activated upon pickup at the airport (Incheon/Gimpo). However, if you wish to activate it later, please inform the staff.

Checklist for booking
  1. Make sure to book with the exact full name on your passport.
  2. Please make sure to unlock your smartphone through your cellphone carrier before coming to Korea, especially if you are from the United States, Canada, or Japan. If your smartphone is locked, you CANNOT use this SIM card.
  3. Your booking confirmation email and passport are required to present upon pick up. No other form of ID will be accepted in place of your passport.

[How to verify your passport]
  1. Visit the passport verification website: www.skroaming.com/passport/
  2. Enter your rental contract number and rental mobile phone number.
  3. Enter your full name, passport number, date of birth, and nationality.
*You can check the contract you received when purchasing the product and the text message you received after starting your phone.
*Passport verification is only available between 8:00am and 10:00pm.

[How to charge voice/text credits]
  1. Visit the credit charging website: www.skroaming.com/reservation/charging
  2. Enter your rental contract number and rental mobile phone number.
  3. Select the amount you wish to top up.
*You can check the contract you received when purchasing the product and the text message you received after starting your phone.

Please keep in mind
  1. Passport verification is only available between 8:00am and 10:00pm, and is not available at other times.
  2. If you wish to verify your passport outside of the available hours, you can proceed with the verification process at the airport roaming center.
  3. All incoming/outgoing calls and text messages are unavailable until your passport has been verified. (Data services are available regardless of passport verification.)
  4. Passports issued in the Republic of Korea cannot be used for passport verification.

keep in mind

  1. You can register and activate your SIM card anytime you want.
  2. You have access to unlimited data but the speed will slow down to 5Mbps (3G) after using more than 1GB per day (24 hours).
  3. Once you open the package, the SIM card is not refundable in any cases.
  4. Upon collecting a SIM card, you'll be provided with a manual with information on registration, top-up, and the customer service center. You MUST activate the SIM card on your own based on the instructions on the manual. Please read it carefully and keep it with you just in case.

2 days before the reserved date: 100% refund.
1 day before the reserved date and less: Non-refundable.

FAQ

Does this SIM come with a Korean local 010 phone number?

Yes, a Korean phone number starting with 010 will be issued for all SIM card options excluding the 1-day SIM card.

Can I extend the SIM card for a long period?

No, this SIM card cannot be extended. It will be automatically terminated after the expiry date. If you need an extension, please make a new purchase.

What if the SIM doesn't work on my phone?

The universal type SIM card is compatible with phones using standard, micro, and nano SIM cards. Check with your phone carrier to make sure the SIM card is compatible with your device.

Please try the SIM card before you leave the pick-up location. The staff on site can assist you with installation and troubleshooting any issues.

How many SIM cards can I purchase per passport?

You can purchase up to five SIM cards using a single passport number.

Is voice and SMS available with the 1-day SIM card option?

No, voice and SMS services are not supported with the 1-day SIM card option. Only data service is available.
