[Required Documents For Activating Your SIM Card]
Please bring your smartphone and the following documents when you visit the activation office.

Residence Card (Alien Registration Card, ARC) (*Must have at least 6 months of expiry date remaining)
Korean bank account that was made using your Residence Card (Alien Registration Card, ARC)
Original passport (photocopies or scans of passports will not be permitted)

*Please note that the SIM card will NOT be activated on weekends/holidays.

[How to Terminate Your SIM Card]

You MUST visit the office to terminate your SIM Card. If you are departing Korea, please make sure you terminate your SIM card BEFORE you leave.

*You cannot terminate the SIM card within 3 months. If you terminate within 4~6 months after activation, you must pay a penalty fee of 20,000 won.

Does this SIM come with a Korean local 010 phone number?

Yes, a Korean phone number starting with 010 will be issued for all SIM card options.

What if the SIM doesn't work on my phone?

The universal type SIM card is compatible with phones using standard, micro, and nano SIM cards. Check with your phone carrier to make sure the SIM card is compatible with your device.

Please try the SIM card before you leave the pick-up location. The staff on site can assist you with installation and troubleshooting any issues.

What documents do I need to activate the SIM card?

Bring your smartphone, original passport, Residence Card (ARC) with at least 6 months remaining, and a Korean bank account made using your ARC.

Are there any weekend or holiday restrictions?

Yes, SIM card activation is only available Monday to Friday and will not be processed on weekends or public holidays.

Can I use a photocopy of my passport for activation?

No, only the original passport is accepted for SIM card activation.

Can I terminate my SIM card anytime?

You must visit the office to terminate your SIM card. It cannot be terminated within the first 3 months. If terminated between 4~6 months after activation, a 20,000 won penalty applies. Make sure to terminate your SIM card before leaving Korea.
