概要

Chuncheon Slow Journey: Rice Wine Brewing, Makguksu & Farm Experience Day Tour from Seoul!

Chuncheon, a lakeside city just beyond Seoul, offers a gentler side of Korea shaped by rolling hills, quiet rivers, and generations-old culinary tradition. This day tour blends hands-on cultural craft with the simple pleasures of countryside life, from brewing rice wine to wandering a lively local market and meeting farm animals under open skies. Ideal for travelers craving a slower pace, food lovers chasing authentic regional flavors, and anyone looking to trade the city skyline for a day of easy, meaningful discovery.

Why this tour?
  • Escape the city and slow down on this relaxing countryside day trip
  • Brew authentic Korean rice wine, Makgeolli, following traditional methods (optional)
  • Craft a handmade leather piece in a guided workshop session (optional)
  • Savor Chuncheon's iconic Makguksu, buckwheat cold noodles, a regional culinary specialty
  • Wander a lively traditional market filled with fresh regional treasures and flavors
  • Meet friendly farm animals and unwind amid scenic, peaceful rural countryside views

Hands knead fermenting rice mash outdoors, crafting authentic makgeolli beside a striking modern brewery building.
▲ Traditional Rice Wine Brewery (optional)
Step into a traditional Korean brewery where centuries-old fermentation techniques come alive. Participants learn how rice, water, and nuruk transform into makgeolli through a hands-on brewing session, gaining rare insight into Korea's rich culinary heritage and time-honored craftsmanship passed down through generations of local brewers.

Guests hand-stitch personalized leather goods, guided step-by-step through a cozy artisan workshop studio.
▲ Leather Craft Workshop (Optional)
Swap the rice wine brewing session for a hands-on leather craft workshop at a cozy local studio. Participants shape and stitch their own leather piece to take home, guided by a skilled artisan. A relaxing, creative alternative for travelers who prefer a tactile keepsake over a tasting experience.

Colorful signage and film-themed murals line a revitalized, walkable Chuncheon alleyway lined with cafés.
▲ Yukrimgogae Street
Wander through Yukrimgogae, a revitalized hillside alley lined with charming cafés, murals, and boutique shops. Once a quiet residential slope, this creative neighborhood now draws visitors with its artistic energy and photogenic streets, offering a relaxed pocket of urban culture tucked into Chuncheon's laid-back cityscape.

A couple strolls past Chuncheon Jungang Market, snacking on skewers near a bustling shopping district.
▲ Chuncheon Jungang Market
Stroll through a bustling traditional market packed with local produce, street snacks, and everyday treasures. Known affectionately as the Romantic Market, this lively hub captures the warmth of small-town Korean commerce. A visit to the nearby Olive Young store is highly recommended for convenient K-beauty shopping.

Grazing sheep and cattle roam scenic hillside pastures overlooking a tranquil countryside lake view.
▲ Happy Chowon Ranch
Unwind at a scenic countryside ranch where friendly farm animals roam freely against rolling green hills. A well-loved filming backdrop for popular Korean dramas, this peaceful retreat offers photo-worthy views, hands-on animal encounters, and a hearty Korean beef burger, making it a memorable countryside highlight.
