The facts
"Seopjikoji" is located at the end of the eastern shore of Jeju-do Island. "Seopji" is the old name for the area, and "Koji" is Jeju dialect meaning a sudden bump on land.
Green fields without a single tree spread beyond the cliff to where a rock called “seondol” protrudes. Also there are stonewalls along the road to block the wind on the way to the lighthouse at the end of Seopjikoji. Within the stonewalls, you may find the most brilliant rapeseed flower fields every April.
Going up the metal steps of the lighthouse, you can view the whole seashore at a glance. On Koji hill, there stands a stone Bongsudae (4 m high, 9 m long and wide) that retains its original form.
Seopjikoji is famous as a filming location for several Korean dramas such as All in (SBS, 2003) and My Girl (SBS, 2006) and also Korean variety show Running Man (SBS).
This peak often appears on the recent Korean drama Mendorong Ttottot 멘도롱 또똣 Warm & Cozy (MBC, 2015) starring Yu Yeon Seok and Kang Sora.

In springtime, Seopjikoji is one of the best place to visit in Jeju because the famous Jeju yellow canola flowers are in full bloom. Perfect spot for chilling out while enjoying the view.

Visited this place two years ago and miss every moment of it. Hands down the most breathtaking scenery in Korea and the best of nature that Korea offers. A lot of tourist attractions are overrated, but Seokjikoji is NOT. Definitely worth the visit if you are in Jeju.
