Daelim Contemporary Art Museum was previously a normal residential house and was reborn by French architect Vincen Cornu in 2002. The museum’s façade represents Korean traditional textile patterns (bojagi). It may still seem like a small house from the outside but the museum is quite big being composed of 4 stories.
Daelim Gallery mostly holds huge exhibitions that draws large crowds soif you're into art ( or the arts), then you'll have a great time here. There is also a special coffee shop called "D Lounge" right next to the main building. You can have a great time here after looking at the exhibitions.
Daelim Comtemporary Art Museum also provides guide services for visitors every hour on the hour from 11 to 5.
*Current Exhibition - TROIKA : Persistent Illusions (14.04.10-14.10.12) TROIKA is a artist group recently popular in London. TROIKA develops its own work style which is related to various areas. TROIKA tries to make collaboration between science(technique) and art(feeling). This exhibition focuses on the vanishing value of technologies and the beauty of nature described by scientific language.

My favorite museum! It has modern atmosphere. This museum's artistic atmosphere helps people to focus on masterpieces. Because it is located around Jong-no area, you can also feel traditional atmosphere!
