The facts

Wat Benchamabophit, or widely known by tourists as the Marble Temple, is located in the heart of Bangkok near King Rama V Monument. It is one of the most beautiful and modern temples in Bangkok and a popular tourist destination.

Wat Benchamabophit has gained its nickname as it has been built with Italian fine marbles. It also shows some European influence in the architecture style. You can see stained glass windows in the temple depicting Buddha which is quite rare in Thai temples.

Also, the temple is known to house an impressive collection of Buddhist Bronze arts which includes original and copied works from Southeast Asia.

If you happen to pass by Rama V Monument in Bangkok, it is definitely worth a visit. You will love the magnificent view of the white marble exterior and beautiful stained glass windows at Wat Benchamabophit.

You can get to Wat Benchamabophit by Chao Phraya Express Boat. Take a Chao Phraya Express Boat and get off at Thewes Pier (N15).
