Wat Na Phramen is one of the few temples which have survived attacks by Burmese. Furthermore, it is considered as the best example of the temple with Khmer-style among Ayutthaya temples and the oldest one by being built in the 13th century.
This temple houses a gigantic Buddha image inside. The principal Buddha image is unique seated and fully decorated in regal attire which is the signature style of the Late Ayutthaya Period in Ubosot. Ubosot is an ordination hall and a holiest prayer room.
Buddha image's face will make you feel graceful, peaceful and respectful. After having some peace of your mind, try to find the form of closed lotuses on the top of the octagonal columns surrounding Buddha and the peculiar ceiling with colored glasses which means the beautiful stars in the sky.
