The facts
"Sara Oreum" is located on south of the Seongpanak Trail, Seogwipo in Jeju Island. You can see beautiful sunset like shining silk so it is called Sara. After about a three hour hiking, you will see the crater lake at its summit which is the highest among all of Jeju's crater lakes. The lake is not that deep, and it is 250 meters in circumference. At "Sara Oreum", you can look out to Seogwipo city and the sea, a truly beautiful sight it would be.
There is a parking lot so you can drive your own car.
It is located near the downtown and it is easy to climb to the top. You can meet the people who walk around there regularly or play soccer because it has soccer field with artificial turf. The soccer field is open to the public and you need to pay about 70,000 won for 2 hours in order to use.

one of the best hidden gem of Mt. Halla.. we went here last winter and everything is covered in snow and the water is frozen.. at the end of this trail you will see an observatory and the view is just amazing.. overlooking the mountain and i hear sunset view here is also beautiful.
