Opened in 1982, Ho-Am Art Museum is a private art gallery owned by the founder of Samsung Conglomerate, Lee Byung Chull. Ho-Am is Lee Byung Chull's pseudonym. This art museum displays Lee Byung Chull's collection of Korean art over a period of about three decades. From wooden furniture, paintings, Buddhist Art, Calligraphy to Ceramics, you'll be able to see the artworks of ancient times. There are some national treasures as well, which is quite surprising considering the fact that it's a private collection. Surrounding the museum is the Korean traditional garden Hee Won where you can appreciate the calm and serene natural scenes. There are beautiful peacocks running around the garden. It's especially beautiful during Spring when flowers bloom.

A very nice art museum with a beautiful garden. The museum itself is quite big, considering that it's a private owned one. The garden is especially worth visiting where you can appreciate a very Korean traditional style of nature.
