Andong's most famous tourist attraction is, undoubtedly, Hahoe Village located in the west of Gyeongsangbuk-do. Historically, since the 16th century, it's been solely a one-clan village, home of the influential Pungsan Ryu family, including Ryu Seong-nyong, the great prime minister during the Imjin War (1592-1598), and members of his family live here to this day. And Hahoe Village, along with Yangdong Village in Gyeongju, was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List under the category of “Historic Villages in Korea” on July 31, 2010. This spot has been a popular tourist destination so the facilities are well made such as a free luggage storage, automatic teller machine, and so on at the entrance. Also, there are free shuttle buses around the village which run every 10 minutes. There is famous dance drama 'Hahoe Mask Dance Drama' in the village.
