The facts

Nothing gets you in the Christmas spirit like ice-skating in the heart of the city and drinking hot chocolate. The public ice rink near city hall opens for the 2015/16 Winter Season opens on December 17th (Thurday)!!!

The Ice Skating Rink at Seoul Plaza is the perfect cheap and fun activity for the whole family as the admission fee costs only 1,000 won including the rental fee.

The outdoor rink is located in front of Seoul City Hall and Seoul Metropolitan Library, on the big plaza.

The best thing about this Ice Rink is that it's in the heart of Seoul where you feel as if you are skating and having a blast of fun in the midst of the busy city streets. So wrap up warm and get your skate on.

super cheap and fun! 1000 won for one hour but its more than enough. everyone is busy with themselves

Went here twice last winter. I still can't believe how cheap it is (1,000 won for 1h!) but that also means a lot of people and kids. I went late, at maybe 9 or 10, and there were still so many little kids!! Korean children definitely dont go to bed on time!

Anyway, you pay the entrance, get the skates, and enjoy for an hour. After about 20-30 minutes I left because the floor was starting to deteriorate (too many people through the whole day, even though they clean every hour, it is still bad). I would still rate is as a 4/5 because of the value for money.

I think it opens sometime in December until the beginning of february..so right no you will have to wait til next winter! (or go to a more expensive 365days skating rink like the one in Lotte)

its cheap and of course its so crowded with people from all ages, what i dont like, since there are a lot people in the rink during less than 1 hour there were lot of holes, almost everywhere but still.. you cant complain for 1000won... ice skating anyway..
