The facts
This church is the first protestant church in Korea. It's established by American Methodist missionary, H.G. Appenzeller in 1885. The construction started on 1895 and finished on 1979. The church displaying North American Gothic style architecture with red brick corbel, sharp arch, circle shaped window, and tracery.
The Chungdong Church is located on Deoksugung Doldam-gil (Deoksugung Wall-Stone Road) which is famous with its beautiful and colorful leaves during autumn.
