The facts

Incheon's Chinatown is Korea's only official Chinatown.

Incheon's Chinatown was formed in 1884 with the opening of the Incheon Port in 1883. It used to be a very large Chinese community with more than 10,000 inhabitants in the 1940's. But Korean War and Korean government's regulations on Chinese residents and businesses in 1970's resulted in the decrease of the community.

Today, Incheon Chinatown became one of the most popular destinations to visitors with its unique and distinctive atmosphere and many different kinds of Chinese restaurants, dessert stores and shops.

The original restaurant that first served the Korean Chinese fusion food 'Jjajangmyeong' (Noodles with bean paste) is also located in the middle of this Chinatown.

A lot of chinese restaurant. The famous dish is jjajangmyeon, which originated from here. Very crowded on weekend and holiday. You'll need to join long queue in several famous restaurants

A lot of options for Chinese food and dessert. Everything is pretty much red and goldish. Fun to walk around and check differently decorated buildings.
