Changdeokgung Palace (except the rear garden) will be open for free for the whole month of July 2015.
Changdeokgung Palace is listed one of the most well-preserved of the five remaining royal Joseon palaces, along with a secret Garden in it.
At the same time, Changdeokgung Palace had been listed in UNESCO list as one of the world heritage site since 1997 for its historical significance, simplicity and subtleness.
Changdeokgung Palace was the principal palace for many of the Joseon Kings. It consists of governmental area, royal family private area, and the rear garden.
Its rear garden was served as a resting place for the royal family members and kept as natural as possible. The most beautiful time to see the garden is during the fall when the autumn foliage is at its peak and the leaves starts to fall.

I recommend you go to there with your lovers in the spring. because there are many flowers and it shows more beautiful. Furthermore you can feel traditional atmosphere.

It is a must go for people interested in ancient architecture, other people might find it not exciting enough. In my opinion you should see at least one temple in Seoul, this is one of the best opportunities.
