"Hwangwuji Haean (Coast)", located on 7th course of Olle-gil in Seogwipo, is a hidden jewel of Jeju Island. The shallow ponds of water created by rocks are perfect for snorkeling. From "Hwangwuji Haean", you can enjoy looking out to a clear emerald sea!
There are also 12 caves on the "Hwangwuji Coast", which is a historic site called "Hwangwujigul" or "Yeoldugul" on the southwestern coast of Sammaebong. They are artificial caves built by the Japanese army for military defense during the Second World War. Japan hid small torpedo boats in these caves that their soldiers used for kamikaze attack. A sad history lies within this beautiful natural setting.
