The facts
Seoul National University was founded in 1946. It aims to be the premier institution of higher education that could represent the country, and further enrich the future of the nation.
Built on the largest campus in Seoul, it is home to 16 colleges, 1 Graduate School and 9 Professional Graduate Schools (As of 1 April 2013).
The huge triangular main gate of the school is the most widely known monument to represent Seoul National University. The main gate became a symbol of the university when the school moved to its current location in Gwanak in 1975. Designed with the first consonants of each word of 국립 서울 대학교 in Korean, the gate resembles the shape of a key. The key symbolizes the school’s determination to pursue the virtue it states in its motto ‘Veritas Lux Mea.’
It is also located near Mt Gwanak (관악산), a popular mountain for trekking.

It is the biggest as well as the best university in Korea. Because the campus is so big, you cannot walk building to building as it would take around like 1 hour. Instead, there are buses that stops at every station and as you get older, students get their own colors. They have lawns that you can go picnic and you can enjoy walking as well.
