So much fun! It involves using tweezers to pick up tiny flakes of shell but we had some approx 10 yr old kids in the class who made amazing pieces along with the adults. Papago app to translate questions and answers between instructor and students worked well.
Location was easy to find - I don't remember the exterior having any English name for the building (it had the Korean only).

I went with my friends to do the keychain and it was really worth it : it's a fun activity where we have to use our imagination and share our ideas with others (duration : 1h30).
The person was really nice and helpful and even though we had some difficulties to talk because of the language barrier we still succeeded.
I highly recommend this activity with friends :)

It was an amazing experience. Although the motives are really limited it is really good to test out your skills and creativity. The teacher was amazing and very friendly. She even let me finish my motive, although i was past the time. I think it is a good workshop to try out the mother of pearl art.

A very lovely experience! The staff were very kind and helpful. I opted for a keychain and even though I don’t have much of a creative streak in me, it turned out very pretty! I’d happily recommend this to anyone who’s looking for a one of a kind memento for their stay in Korea!

I had so much fun at this experience! I even got to practice my Korean with the instructor. It’s definitely a skill and an art, it definitely requires lots of patience and creativity. Would definitely recommend!

If you love Korean Mother of Pearl products this is a fun activity to do.
It's well organised with either random and pre-made shapes to help create something.
It takes about 1 hour to make, then a quick 15 minute wait to set and finalise. You can check out the craft museum or go to the rooftop garden. :)

I really enjoyed this experience. There was a bit of a language barrier, but we worked through it and actually making the tables was not that difficult. It was a really fun craft and I love my little table! I just wish my Korean was better so I could it easier on the instructor.

I went with a friend and we chose to decorate the hand mirrors. The teacher showed us a video about the Jinju Mother of Pearls and how they were used to adorn different kinds of furniture. She didn't speak much English, so when it came time to decorate, she let us have our time to talk and catch up while we were having fun decorating. Afterwards, she praised our efforts and guided us to see the museum on the 4th floor until our hand mirrors had been coated with a laminate. The experience was fun for us and would recommend doing this to everyone. Neither of us are really creative but our hand mirrors turned out to be very pretty!
