My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the DMZ Half-day Tour. In our opinion the tour was better than described by the website. This is a fantastic tour for those who want the convenience of pick up from their hotel and who want to see a number of different areas within a relatively short amount of time. We departed our hotel at 9:20 a.m. and returned before 5:00 p.m. While the time allotted at each location was sufficient to see the most important sites, there was not a lot of extra time for those who prefer to linger. Again, this tour is a great option for those who want to do a lot and see a lot within a relatively short amount of time. This tour also entails a significant amount of walking at each stop. Walking into and out of the infiltration tunnel proved to be a great aerobic exercise. This tour is likely not a good option for those who prefer a slower pace or who do not want to do a lot of walking. Highlights of our tour included our tour guide and the opportunity to meet a North Korean defector. Our tour guide "Laura" Lee Gayun was well organized, exceptionally responsive, and very informative. She made the tour fun and kept our entire group on time. The opportunity to meet the North Korean defector occurred at the Imjingak Peace Park and required a nominal additional fee of 5,000 won per person. This meet and greet included a group question and answer session, and a group photo. The session was informative and interesting. Bottom line, my wife and I felt this tour was well worth the cost in terms of time and money.

I was moving from one hotel to another that day, and they let me bring my big backpack on a bus. The guide Daria was punctual, spoke fluent English, and even though we were a big group she gave everyone personal attention. And she has a great sence of humor 😃 Despite the fact that DMZ is a very touristy place, and you will encounter other big groups there, it is a worthy day trip from Seoul. My favourite part was going down to the tunnel, and sipping my coffee with a view over North Korea. We had enough free time to take pictures or simply enjoy the place, and not too much time when you don’t know what else to do.

DMZ tour guide was good at giving us lots of information and overall, the tour was worthwhile. Btw you can only visit the DMZ area with a tour group, you can’t go by yourself.

Definitely recommend visiting the DMZ with a tour, and maybe read a little bit about the South and North Korean history of conflicts. It’s a tour worth the visit. Make sure to check the weather for the date you’re going, otherwise you might not be able to see much of North Korea if it’s rainy or foggy.

I would really recommnend! The trip is really well organised, with a lot of interesting information. I liked all the places, it is pity that you can not stay there for a little bit longer time, but this is due to the military regulations.

We loved our tour given by Erica! She was informative, professional and able to really open our eyes to the highlights of the DMZ. She made great recommendations for picture opportunities or things to do and see or eat at each location on our tour. My teens who were not initially excited about the tour really thought it was a highlight of our trip to Korea! Well worth doing!

A very informative tour with lots of learning! Ms Julie Park, our tour guide, was evidently experienced and came with a wealth of historical knowledge and information. We have come to appreciate South Korea's economic growth even more after the trip. Tip: • Bring a warm jacket as the temperature up North is cooler than in Seoul. • Lots of walking uphill and downhill at the tunnel and observatory - NOT recommended for those with injuries.

Unfortunately we had really bad luck with the weather. The visibility at the observatory was 0 and it was raining heavily all day. I do not recommend the 3rd tunnel if you’re not ready to climb a very steep and long path back up. Overall an ok experience but sadly we were not able to see anything.

This tour was my first while visiting South Korea. It was very easy to meet in our groups before we set off. Although we were a bit delayed because of rainy weather our guide, Grace, gave us the best experience and continued to communicate our itinerary with us throughout the trip. This tour gave me a deeper insight on the history of the Koreas and Grace was very knowledgeable!

It’s not an exciting tour. You walk down a tunnel for a one second glimpse of a hole in the wall, tourist shopping center and a quick stop where there is literally theme park type rides. The only thing worth your time is the observatory. I wouldn’t really recommend the tour unfortunately. It’s all been turned into something a tourist trap only.

Going through the infiltration tunnel was incredible, however make sure to wear appropriate runners cause the walk back out is a killer.

The first stop was at Imjingak Park where Yoon took us around the monuments and landmarks in the area to share her knowledge about all of these. This was definitely very impressive to see and hear about. It's still such a surreal situation to us. After this we had an hour or so to wonder around, grab a coffee and some food before we headed over to the gondola that takes you across the river to a few lookouts. We've ridden gondolas plenty of times so this wasn't too exciting for us and the viewpoint on the other side was still towards the South Korean side unfortunately. There was also a nice little museum though to commemorate all the soldiers that fought in the Korean war. Final stop for the day was the Odusan Unification Tower which is an awesome lookout that looks out to North Korea. There's a bunch of traditional binoculars that allow you to have a peek into North Korean life which was pretty cool. But even better were the digital binoculars that were available that really let you zoom in, bizar but cool. We had an amazing experience with Seoul City Tours during our trip to the DMZ which we booked through Trazy. We were picked up from our hotel at 9.30am and then dropped at a central location to be able to hop on a big bus that would take us around all day. The super friendly Yoon greeted us at the bus and due to some unforeseen circumstances part of the tour couldn't go ahead so she gave us an alternative option (and a part refund) or the possibility to rebook for a different day. This was very thoughtful. We still went ahead with the alternative option and it didn't disappoint. The first stop was at Imjingak Park where Yoon took us around the monuments and landmarks in the area to share her knowledge about all of these. This was definitely very impressive to see and hear about. It's still such a surreal situation to us. After this we had an hour or so to wonder around, grab a coffee and some food before we headed over to the gondola that takes you across the river to a few lookouts. We've ridden gondolas plenty of times so this wasn't too exciting for us and the viewpoint on the other side was still towards the South Korean side unfortunately. There was also a nice little museum though to commemorate all the soldiers that fought in the Korean war. Final stop for the day was the Odusan Unification Tower which is an awesome lookout that looks out to North Korea. There's a bunch of traditional binoculars that allow you to have a peek into North Korean life which was pretty cool. But even better were the digital binoculars that were available that really let you zoom in, bizar but cool. All in all we'd highly recommend this tour even if you get offered the alternative version.

It was a great experience but kind of rush visit at each point (maybe visitors has limited time to enter the area). Our tour guide Dora was really entertaining. I like how she shared the Korean history. Hopefully you could reduce the pickup area as we wasted so much time on our way to pick up participants around Seoul.

Superb

Very poor experience. Started with a pickup at Nambu Bus Station,along with additional pickups along the way to west Seoul to change to a bigger vehicle.. it took already more than 1h. Metro would have been way faster and easier! Almost no historical background told in the bus. Another buschange close to the DMZ to fill up seats. Windows were wet from the inside so that you couldn't see a thing whats on the outside. Zeerroo (Almost) no outside guidance to tell details and all you get inside the tunnel is back pain. Total waste of money
