Goseokjeong Pavilion is one of Cheorwon's most scenic spots, with breathtaking views of the Hantangang River surrounded by towering rock formations. Historically, it served as a strategic military post during the Korean War, and today, it remains a popular destination for both its natural beauty and historical significance.

▲ The 2nd Tunnel
Discovered in 1975 near Cheorwon, the Second Tunnel is a 3.5 km-long underground passage built by North Korea for infiltration, with a capacity to transport 30,000 troops per hour. Today, visitors can explore a 500m section of the tunnel to learn about its structure and North Korea's infiltration tactics at the on-site exhibition.



▲ Korean Workers' Party Headquarters
The Korean Workers' Party Headquarters is a remnant of North Korean rule before the Korean War. This three-story Soviet-style building built in 1946 once served as a political hub for the North, but after the war, it was left in ruins, with bullet holes and bomb scars still visible on its walls.







▲ Cheorwon Hantangang Waterway Trail
The Hantangang Waterway Trail offers scenic walks along a river valley carved by ancient lava flows, with landscapes that change beautifully by season.
