The facts

"Cheonjeyeon Falls", named 'The pond of God', consists of 3 parts. Around the falls, a variety of plant life thrives, such as the rare ‘solipnan’ reeds. To the east, there is a cave where cold water pours from the ceiling to create a waterfall. The water from the first waterfall becomes the second and third waterfalls and flows into the sea.
It's the largest out of the three major waterfalls on Jeju Island, the other two of which are Cheonjiyeon Waterfall and Jeongbang Waterfall.

In Cheonjeyeon Valley, there is the “Seonimgyo Bridge” (arch bridge that has 7 nymphs carved on the side) and the octagonal “Cheonjeru tower”. The Seonimgyo is also called “Chilseonyeogyo”(meaning seven nymphs) and it connects Cheonjeyeon with the Jungmum Tourist Complex. On the surface of the Cheonjeru Tower, there is a painting that tells Cheonjeyeon’s legend of the nymph and mountain god. Every even-year in May, the Chilseonyeo Festival is held here.

One of its point is you can hardly see a water which falls from the first fall.
Another point is you can see columnar joints here easily.
And the splash is very big in the second falls.
To go to the third falls, you have to go up a lot of stairs so most of the tourists give up there.
You can visit here from 8 am to 6 pm.

I can't forget the Taoist fairy Bridge. To see the third part waterfall, you have to cross this bridge.

A 3-part waterfall, Cheonjeyeon Falls is a good place for a relaxing afternoon. Visitors can learn the legend of the place whilst enjoying the serenity that this place has to offer. This course involves a lot of climbing up and down so it would be best to apportion enough time for it. I went with a land tour and felt it was too rushed. Would be better to take your time to enjoy the awesome scenery.
