Watch 3 countries sharing the Mekong at the Golden Triangle. If you feel like it, hop on a long-tail boat to Don Sao Island to step on the Laos' territory. Then, get super close to the Myanmar's border in Mae Sai! Yao, Akha, and Karen Long Neck Hill Tribe villages are also available as an option, where you can spot the tribes in traditional clothes and shop items they made.

Children younger than 3 years old are free of charge and will share seats with the parents in the vehicle.
Please be noted that this tour is a fully packed day tour and involves over 700km of driving. Due to the distance between Chiang Mai & Chiang Rai and wide coverage of destinations, you'll spend 9+ hours in the vehicle. [Hotel Transfer Service]

A shared transfer service from/to your hotel will be provided in the central Chiang Mai area (within a 3 km radius of Thapae Gate).
If your hotel is located outside the above mentioned area, there will be an additional charge.
The exact pick-up time at your hotel will be sent to you through email after your reservation is confirmed.

Pick up from your hotel in the central Chiang Mai area
Depart for Chiang Rai

Arrive at Mae Khachan Hot Spring
- Stretch your legs from sitting in the vehicle & watch a geyser

Arrive at White Temple (Wat Rong Khun)
- Marvel at the unconventional temple designed by famous Thai visual artist, Chalermchai Kositpipat

Arrive at the Golden Triangle
- Have a view of the natural borders of the 3 countries along the Mekong
- Imagine how the opium trade have been made across the regions and to China

Get on a boat to Don Sao Island in Laos along the Mekong river (optional)
- Browse the vendors selling bags, snake whisky and some handicrafts

Have lunch

Arrive at Mae Sai
- Look around the bustling border market in the town
- Have a glimpse of Myanmar, being only about 10m away across the river

Depart for Chiang Mai

Arrive at Yao, Akha, and Karen Long Neck Hill Tribe villages (optional)
- Take a look at the outfits of the hill tribes and handicraft goods they make

Arrive at your hotel in the central Chiang Mai area

*At each place except the Golden Triangle, you'll have 15~20 minutes to explore. You'll stay longer at the Golden Triangle, and there's an option to add a boat trip to Don Sao Island. Those who don't choose the option will get more time at the Golden Triangle itself.
*If there's no one in the tour group who has opted in for the Hill Tribe villages, you'll drive straight down to Chiang Mai.
*The itinerary is subject to change depending on local/traffic conditions.
