[Sweet fish (Euneo)]
Sweet fish or Euneo in Korean, is a small silver fish that is popular for its sweet taste. Many people compare the sweet taste to a watermelon and it is one of the most sought fish during the summer. Sweet fish return to the rivers from the sea around July and August to breed. During this time they are most fat in meat and delicious in taste.

*Cancellation or change requests made after 5:00pm on weekdays or on weekends/public holidays will be processed in sequence on the next working day.

FAQ

What if it rains on the day of the tour?

The festival runs rain or shine, and so does the tour. However, if the weather conditions are severe, the activity may be postponed or canceled. In such cases, a full refund will be issued.

Do I need to bring anything?

Bonghwa Sweetfish Festival is an outdoor activity. Clothes will get wet during the experience. Please bring a change of clothes, towels, and sunscreen.

Are meals included?

No, meals are not included but if you catch sweetfish, you can have it grilled on-site for an additional fee. There are also various food stalls and vendors where you can purchase snacks and local specialties.

Do I need to know how to swim?

No swimming skills are required. Most activities take place in shallow, supervised river areas.
