*Solo travelers are welcome to book this trip.
*Up to 3 travelers can ride 1 Tuk Tuk, and each trip consists of up to 7 Tuk Tuks, including one for the lead tour guide.
*Vegetarian lunch is available on request. Please indicate it upon booking.

[About driving Tuk Tuk]
- Anyone who wants to drive a Tuk Tuk MUST have a valid manual driving license from their home country and ideally an international driving license, particularly if the license is not in English.
- No previous Tuk Tuk driving experience is required to drive a Tuk Tuk during the tour.
- If you don't wish to drive a Tuk Tuk, you can join the tour on the back seats.

[Hotel Transfer Service]
- A shared transfer service from/to your hotel in the central Chiang Mai area will be provided.
- The exact pick-up time at your hotel will be sent to you through email after your reservation is confirmed.
- If you prefer to meet the group at the designated meeting point (Chiang Mai Gate Hotel), please indicate it upon booking and arrive by 7:45am on the day.

- Valid manual driving license & international driving license (for driving)
- Lightweight cool clothes (e.g. t-shirts & shorts)
- Extra clothes to change into after elephant bathing & bamboo rafting
- Trainers/sneakers for driving & a local elephant home visit
- Money if you want other snacks/soft drinks (500 baht per person is more than enough)

Itinerary

7:45am or 8:00am~8:30am	Meet the tour guide at Chiang Mai Gate Hotel Pick up from your hotel in the central Chiang Mai area
9:30am	Arrive at the tour base in the Mae Wang valley Get given a Tuk Tuk to drive & ride and take a driving training session
10:30am	Drive your own Tuk Tuk through rural roads, following a lead tour guide ahead - Get to know the real rural life in Northern Thailand, passing farming villages, rural temples and more
11:30am~	Arrive at a local elephant home - Hear about the past, present & future of Thai elephants and interact with them - Help mahouts to feed the elephants
~1:00pm	Have traditional Thai food for lunch while still watching the elephants
1:00pm	Walk with the mahouts and their elephants through the countryside to the river - Help mahouts bathe the elephants
3:00pm	Float casually on the local river on a traditional bamboo raft - Enjoy the rare and unique opportunity to see the local surroundings at a different angle
4:00pm	Return to your Tuk Tuk and drive back down the valley
4:45pm	Arrive at the tour base in the Mae Wang valley Depart for Chiang Mai City
6:00m	Arrive at your hotel in the central Chiang Mai area
