The facts
Masterpiece of theater architecture of the nineteenth century, the Palais Garnier, built by Charles Garnier and inaugurated in 1875, is the thirteenth opera in Paris since the founding of this institution in 1669 by Louis XIV room. Its construction was decided by Napoleon III as part of the major renovations of the capital carried out under his command by Baron Haussmann.
