Located 4 km southwest from on-site Anmyeon-eup, Kkotji Beach is 3.2 km in length and 300m wide. It is especially famous for its magnificent view of sunset.
Although the tidal change is big, the beach is not too steep so it is safe to swim in. Also, the waters are clear and warm so you can enjoy swimming till late summer. When the tide is low, you can enjoy catching small crabs and clams.
Right next to the beach is the Bangpo port, where you can enjoy fresh caught sashimi, and the Halmibawi (meaning 'grandmother rock') and the Halabibawi (meaning 'grandfather rock') overlook the beach.
* The sunset view at the Halmibawi ranks among the top 3 most beautiful sunsets in Korea.
