The facts

"Hallim Park", located 33km away west from Jeju City and west of Mt. Hallasan along the beach in Hallimeup, is one of the most popular tourist spots on Jeju Island. It faces the pleasant scenery of Biyangdo Island, Hyeopjae Beach and Geumneung Beach. The park was established on barren land in Hyeopjaeri, Hallimeup, and covered with tons of earth and began planting assorted subtropical plants in early 1971.

"Hallim Park" is comprised of different gardens: Palm Tree Road, Jeju Stone and Bonsai Garden, Water Garden, Subtropical Botanic Garden and much more. The most famous tourist sites in "Hallim Park" are Hyeopjaegul and Ssangyonggul Caves known to be the only two-dimensional caves in the world.
There's also a folk village, children's amusement park and outdoor resort facilities make it enjoyable for both children and adults.

Every month it holds a special flower festival and especially in April's Cherry Blossom festival, you'll be able to see the yellow rapeseed flowers along with the pink and white cherry blossoms creating a wonderful scenery.

Went here in autumn. The flowers and the foliage are both beautiful. Would love to return here again with my family.

Hallim park is a top destination to visit in Jeju. The gardens are beautiful and the caves are fascinating to see and quite unique on the island. The birds area is interesting to see with albino peacocks showing their amazing feathers besides regular peacocks with stunning colours. The tropical plants section is very colourful and exotic while the other areas in the park are colourful and fun to visit as well.

Hallim Park is incredibly huge and has tons of things to offer. From waterfalls, to bird exhibitions, as well as plant nurseries and caves, this place is great to spend a relaxing afternoon at! It is an incredibly huge area so I would suggest apportioning at least half a day to explore the area. As I went with a day tour, I had to leave after 2 hours which was highly inadequate in my opinion. Highly recommended place with lots to be done here. There's also cafes in this park so food is not an issue! (:
