The facts

Jung Sik Dang (정식당), located nearby the Apgujeong Rodeo Street, is an upscale "New Korean" cuisine restaurant.
With a modern and simple decor, Jung Sik Dang is all about taste, neatness and creativity.
Based on Korean food, all the menus change every 2~3 months. Even the signature dish changes within a year. The current signature dishes are Jeju Crispy Snapper, Pork Jowl and Sea Urchin Bibimbap, which was selected as one of the Best 10 Dishes in New York Times.
The term "New Korean," meaning Neo-Korean, was first used by the owner chef Yim Jung Sik who pioneers new ways to offer a variety of inventive Korean cuisine.
First opened in 2009, Korean movie stars and celebrities visit this restaurant as well.
Jung Sik Dang aims to cultivate a very "approachable Korean cuisine" where it's not only about Kimchi but about the potential of Korean food to be presented in various creative ways.

There are two courses : Chef's Choice for first time visitors and Design Tasting for those who'd like to choose your own dishes.

Jung Sik Dang also expanded to New York Manhattan in 2011 "Jungsik." It was awarded one star by the Michelin Guide in 2012.
