The facts

Gamchusa Temple is a small Buddhist temple located along the coast of Donghae, near Gamchu Beach. According to legend, the temple was founded by Princess Seonhwa, the third daughter of King Jinpyeong of Silla, after she was cured of an illness at this site.

The temple complex includes Gwaneumjeon, Yongwanggak, and Samsingak. Yongwanggak is especially notable for its seaside location, where visitors come to offer prayers toward the ocean.

Gamchusa Temple is a lovely, quiet place tucked away in the mountains, offering a perfect escape from the busy city life. The temple's traditional design is charming and well-preserved, surrounded by beautiful trees and nature trails. Walking around the grounds, I felt a real sense of calm and spirituality.
