Yeongyang Traditional Doodle Village was constructed in 1640, during this time Lee Sim-yeong used this village as and escape place during the 2nd Manchu invasion in South Korea. His descendants decided to continue living here even after the invasion. In the Hanok village you can find many cultural heritages like houses and the memorial stone for the cookbook of Madam Jang. The first cookbook ever written by a woman in East Asia.
