The facts

Museo de las Momias (Museum of the Mummies) has the largest collection of mummies in the entire world. They have on display both the youngest mummy (5 months gestation), and the most well-preserved mummy in existence.

Each of the mummies were mummified naturally due to the mineral-rich soil of Guanajuato. The museum has over 100 mummies and costs only 55 pesos per adult.

I visited with my husband and we loved everything about the museum. It was creepy, scary, weird, historical, and beautiful all at once. This is a MUST SEE for anyone traveling to GTO.
