Chiang Mai Night Safari is located about 13km southwest of Chiang Mai central area. Although the name is "Night Safari", it is open every day from 11 o'clock in the morning to 10 o'clock at night. There are 1400 animals of more than 100 different species.
At Chiang Mai Night Safari, visitors can sit on an open air tram and pass by habitats of various animals. This tram ride is called "Day Safari" or "Night Safari", and takes about an hour. For "Day Safari", the tour is done in Thai only, but there are both Thai and English commentaries for "Night Safari".
Visitors can also take a walk along a beautiful lake inside the safari called Jaguar Trail. There are also habitats of some animals along the trail. After sunset, there is a Musical Fountain Show at the lake.
