The facts
Seodong was the name of King Mu of Baekje Kingdom. At this park, there are sculptures of King Mu and his wife, Princess Seonhwa, based on their love story.
Gungnamji Pond is located in the middle of Seodong Park and it is the first artificial pond in Korea that King Mu made for his wife. During the summer, many different types of lotus flowers bloom from the pond, and the visitors can walk amid the delicate fragrance of lotus flowers.
