Jeju Aerospace Museum is a state-of-the-art flight and space museum located at Seogwipo in Jeju Island. The museum is a perfect museum for the whole family, especially for children. 1F Aviation Hall The aviation hall is the first highlight of the museum. At the center of the hall, you can see over 20 actual aircraft suspended from the ceiling that was all once used by the Republic of Korea Air Force. Here you can visit different zones and learn about the history of flight, Republic of Korea Air Force, the secrets behind an aircraft and life-changing aviation technologies. There is also a well-illustrated education zone where you can learn how things fly. Interesting for all ages, come learn about the fascinating science of flight.
2F Space Hall Space Hall goes beyond flying within the atmosphere and introduces you to the world far away in space. Space Hall starts by exploring how the east and west started studying astronomy and space. After going on a journey through space in a dark room filled with small lights that resemble stars, learn about the major advances in space travel. Last of all, learn all about the mysterious world in space and catch a glimpse of the future by getting to know all about the future space projects.
2F Theme Hall Theme Hall is the most exciting interactive area of the museum where learning merges with entertainment. The main attraction of this hall is the 5D Circle Hall. The 5 meters tall and 50 meters wide 360-degree screen along with 5-D special effects offers a real-life experience of an animated video. Along with 5D Circle Hall, there is a full dome theater where children can learn through videos and activities such as 3-D simulators and video interactive learning stations. Children will be able to learn about space and flight using all their senses.
Children's Hall You might be exhausted from the excitement from the other exhibition halls. Have your children spend a little time of their own at the children's hall while you take a short rest. Children can use their imagination and make creative models using building blocks and take photos at the space theme photo zone.
Cafeteria and Souvenir Shop Located on the third floor is a small cafeteria where you can grab a quick snack or drink. There is a 40-meter high open observation platform where you can marvel at the wonderful view of Jeju Island. On a clear day, you can see as far out as to Marado Island, which is the most southern island of Korea.
Outdoor Exhibition Area The outdoor area is an air-strip inspired area where there are 13 life-size aircraft parked on the tarmac. See how different aircraft were used for different purposes and compare the unique designs. You can also jump in the cockpit of a few aircraft and see what it feels like to maneuver them.
