Gwongeumseong Fortress is a 3,500 meters long fortress located about 800 meters above the sea level in the middle of Seoraksan National Park.
The walls of the fortress are not much left at the moment, but visitors can see the sites. It is not known exactly when this fortress was built, but there is a legend that two men named Gwon and Geum had built the fortress to protect their families and people.
Visitors can go to Gwongeumseong Fortress by trekking or taking a cable car from Sogongwon area in Seoraksan National Park.
