The facts
Sorak Cable Car is located at Sogongwon area in Seoraksan National Park. The cable car takes you to Gwongeumseong Fortress, located about 800 meters above sea level. So taking the cable car is known as a quick & easy way to enjoy Seoraksan National Park.
When you get off the cable car, you can walk to Gwongeumseong Fortress which takes about 10~20 minutes on foot. Then, you will be able to take in the breathtaking views of East Sea, Seoraksan National Park, and Sokcho.
Please note that buying the tickets in advance online is not available. During the fall foliage period, you may have to wait 2~3 hours to get on the cable car.
*Baby strollers are not allowed in the cable car. You can keep it in the self-storage facility.
